Electronic Record Cut-Off Trip / Cancel Switch for Seeburg Jukeboxes
back to categoryDescription
This cut-off switch solves a common problem (models V200 to PFEAU1) - the mechanical turn-off microswitch and bias spring.
Our new electronic board uses a photo-cell "eye", eliminating the microswitch and bias spring making the turn-off fully electronic.
Adjustment is very simple - set the switch to "Align" and play a record. Move the tone arm to the lead-out groove on the record and adjust the bracket so that the LED lights up to indicate the trip point. Move the switch to the "Run" position and you're done!
This also solves a situation that occurs with newer, lighter tracking needles. Since there is even less power available to overcome the resistance of the microswitch, this can lead to "kickback" where the tone arm jumps back to the centre of the record as it approaches the end of the record. Since no force needs to be overcome, this is no longer a problem.
